Diversity Works Expo & Awards (DWE)
DWE 2024 Panelists for Signature Programs Cards

An annual flagship university event that brings together students, employers, staff and faculty in a celebration of diversity in the workplace. Diversity Works provides $10,000 in student award scholarships, deepens employer partnerships, and amplifies student voices through industry panels, round-table discussions, and reverse career fairs.

Career Clarity Retreat
Retreat Cabin to use in the signature programs Card

A two-day, all-expense covered retreat for SCU undergraduate students before the start of winter quarter. With an intimate cohort of peers, students build career confidence, resilience, and tolerance for ambiguity through the support of Career Center, Campus Ministry, and Counseling and Psychological Services (CAPS) staff. Applications typically open mid-fall quarter!

Bay Area AI Immersion
Golden Gate Bridge for Signature Programs Card

The Bay Area AI student immersion program is a 4 day experience during spring break that exposes students to the center of global innovation and entrepreneurship. Participants deepen their understanding of AI and the emerging tech industry through company visits, networking events, and industry panels. Students will also have the opportunity to engage with professionals, including SCU alumni, who are investors and entrepreneurs. Throughout the week, Career Center staff coach students on how to present themselves and maximize their contacts for career and internship opportunities.

Possible Tech Accelerator
Possible Program for the signature programs card

The SCUxSU Possible Tech Accelerator immerses students from both Santa Clara University and Seattle University in an interactive five-week virtual program where you participate in workshops, attend talks from industry professionals, connect with mentors, and deliver a hands-on project, all designed to help you identify and attain a career that aligns with your goals.

Resume Labs

Highly interactive sessions offered 1-2x/quarter; co-facilitated by Career Center staff and recruiters; students leave session with new or improved resume drafts, deepen understanding of industry standards, and gain confidence using Jobscan for effective resume writing.

Interviewing for Impact

Students learn about the interviewing process, behavioral interviewing techniques, and gain confidence in answering commonly asked interview questions. Sessions are ideal for interview beginners, including formal content and optional practice; offered 1-2x/quarter.

Connections to Careers: Networking Virtually and In Person Workshop

This workshop teaches networking skills including elevator pitches, introductions, and using LinkedIn and Bronco Exchange for building connections.

Career Fairs

Large-scale recruitment events that feature dozens of employers and attract hundreds of students and alumni; SCU typically hosts 4 Career Fairs a year: 2 fairs in the fall in-person focusing on business/humanities and STEM, 1 virtual fair in the winter, and 1 all major fair in the spring.

Industry-Themed Meet-Ups and Pop-Ins

Meet-ups (in-person) and Pop-ins (virtual) are medium-sized, industry-specific recruitment events featuring 5-15 employers and around 60 students; casual, authentic networking with food, focusing on various career fields like healthcare, sustainability, and tech.

Coffee Chats

The most casual of the three employer engagement opportunities, typically offered in two-hour windows by one employer in high foot traffic areas around campus, with coffee, tea, and pastries provided. Interested in brand building among and recruiting SCU students.

All Career Center events, unless specified otherwise, are open to students that the SCU Career Center serves.
