On September 28, a record-breaking 960+ students and alumni, 80+ companies, and 140+ company representatives participated in the Fall Career Fair B.A.S.H. I'm pleased to share with you a few photos from the event and positive feedback from several participants.
— I was amazed by the number and prestige of the companies there, but I was also able to find and talk with many of the companies that I wanted to.

There was a fantastic turnout of students ... We loved to see Freshman and Sophomores coming out to get experience early. All students were very well prepared with resumes and questions for us which we love to see!

Thank you to Melissa Thiriez for her exceptional event leadership, to the Career Center staff and our team of Peer Career Advisors, and to our many campus partners who helped us behind the scenes, including and especially Janice DeMonsi, who graciously allowed us use of the Malley Center.
Our STEM Career Fair is Wednesday, October 11 from 3-6 p.m. in the Locatelli Student Activity Center. Participating employers include ServiceNow, Veritas Technologies, Synopsys, and many more. Students register on Handshake.
As always, I am excited to work together to deliver on the promise of higher education for all of our students: a good job, social capital, and economic mobility in pursuit of a more humane, just and sustainable world.
Thank you,
DYLAN HOULE

Santa Clara University and Seattle University partner with Possible
Seattle University's Albers School of Business and Economics and Santa Clara University's Career Center have announced a new student program designed to help students learn about, identify, and attain a career in tech that aligns with their goals.
Possible, a career exploration company, will partner with both institutions in crafting a program that supplements the job resources provided by their career centers. With a structured curriculum on in-demand career paths, the interactive five-week program has students participate in workshops, attend talks from industry professionals, connect with mentors, and deliver a hands-on project, all designed to help them identify and attain a career that aligns with their goals.
Staff and faculty will be invited later this month to nominate students for this program, with a focus on first-generation, transfer, and international students. Read the full press release.

Noël Kreidler to Present at AME Annual Conference
The Career Center is excited to share that Noël Kreidler, Assistant Director of Career Development, has been invited to present at the Association for Manufacturing Excellence (AME) Annual Conference in Cleveland, Ohio on the practice of Hansei (self-reflection).
Her participation in this global conference of manufacturing industry leaders will, in ways both direct and indirect, benefit SCU students. This speaking invitation also serves as an excellent example, and reminder, that career services professionals can be thought leaders in industry, outside of higher education. CongratulationsNoël!
Curious to learn more about Noël's presentation? Email her at skreidler@scu.edu.

"I'm so grateful for having had the opportunity to be part of the Recent Grad Job Search Program. I learned how to identify my character strengths and transferable skills, as well as practical ways to get better at developing a job search strategy, interviews, and salary negotiations. Most importantly, I was part of a cohort of recent grads who were all in a similar stage as me, which helped me have a strong sense of community and belonging. I would recommend other recent grads to utilize this amazing opportunity!"
Setareh secured a position as a Community Councils Coordinator at UC San Francisco (UCSF).
