Day of Giving Donors Send Career Center Intern to Regional Conference
On Day of Giving 2023, dozens of donors rallied behind the Career Center to support our initiative to provide students with a transformative, immersive opportunity to learn more about higher education career services by sending them to a regional or national conference.
We're pleased to share that we raised sufficient funds to send one of our career development graduate interns, Demetria Quijada '21, MA '24, to the Mountain Pacific Association of Colleges and Employers (MPACE) Annual Conference this past December in Denver, Colorado.

"After attending this conference, I feel excited about the possibility of working with college students and recent grads," Demetria reflected. "I’ve enjoyed working in higher education, and another area of interest I have is in recruitment and talent acquisition. The conference helped me gain insight into the needs of talent and employers to make me a more prepared and strategic candidate for the roles I aspire to be in."
Thank you to our partners in the School of Education and Counseling Psychology and the many donors who supported this effort. We look forward to a successful Day of Giving 2024!
