Dear Colleagues —
The Princeton Review rankings have been released. For the third time since 2021, Santa Clara University ranks on the Top 20 Best Career Placement (Private Schools), and is in the Top 5 among private schools in California.
The rankings are based on both student ratings of career services at their school and on Payscale's salary information for alumni.
Cheers and congratulations to all of us at Santa Clara University, but especially to the dynamic, dedicated and wonderfully diverse staff of the Career Center who come to work each day to help deliver on the promise of higher education: a good job, social capital, and economic mobility in pursuit of a more humane, just and sustainable world for all.
Thank you,
|

Career Center Reveals Exciting New Look and Feel for Website Homepage
Over the past several months, we have been busy redesigning our website homepage to make it more modern, action-oriented, navigable and dynamic. Check it out: https://www.scu.edu/careercenter/
The credit for this work goes to our recent graduate intern, Mohan Raj Chandrasekar, M.S. Computer Science & Engineering '24 and Vania Tong, Assistant Director of Career Development.
This summer, the next step in our effort to be best-in-class online is to improve website accessibility by making updates in alignment with Siteimprove recommendations. Our current summer intern, Isabel Zuluaga Gonzalez, M.S. Computer Science & Engineering '25, is working together with Vania on this ongoing project.
Questions about our website design? Email Vania Tong at vtong@scu.edu.

Introducing Jobscan, New Resume Review Tool for Students
The Career Center, in partnership with the Leavey School of Business, has officially adopted Jobscan, a popular tool for creating and optimizing resumes for specific job titles and job descriptions. We are hosting a campus-wide demo and training for you to learn how to use and integrate this platform into your classrooms and programs.
REGISTER FOR TRAINING » Monday, September 16, 2024 | 12-1 p.m. via Zoom
Jobscan will replace VMock, our current A.I. resume review tool. Students will continue to have access to VMock until early November. We are switching from VMock to Jobscan because we firmly believe Jobscan is a better solution and superior product, and it is also a more cost competitive vendor.
Questions about Jobscan? Email Colleen Withers, Director of Career Development and Campus Integration, at cwithers@scu.edu.
