Drive with Caution: Vehicle Speed Safety Along Internal Streets
Please maintain a speed less than 10 mph when driving on Palm Drive past the main entrance kiosk and on any internal SCU streets. This is for the safety of our SCU students, faculty, staff, and visitors. Thank you!
Speed Bump Project
The University has recently installed new speed bumps at the front entrance to enhance safety for pedestrians and vehicles. These speed bumps aim to reduce traffic speed, ensuring a safer environment for students, faculty, and visitors as they enter and exit the campus premises. Please be mindful of the reduced speed limit and drive cautiously as you approach the entrance.
Parking Permit Enforcement Hours
Parking permit enforcement hours are between 6 am to 8 pm, Monday through Friday (except SCU-observed holidays).
Exceptions: Residential parking lots and service spaces where indicated by pavement markings are enforced 24 hours per day, seven days a week.
Pay Station Code Update
T2 parking codes for pay and display stations will be phased out by the end of February 2025. If you have an annual code that expires on 6/30/25, it may still be used through the end of this fiscal year. Our parking and transportation services team is working on a solution to address future parking code requests.
Vehicle Permit Limit
A two-vehicle limit is allowed per permit decal, and the permit holder must switch that permit between vehicles when parking on campus. A valid parking permit must be displayed at all times.
Temporary Permits/Lost & Stolen Permits
If a permit is temporarily misplaced, or left in another vehicle, a $7 temporary permit is available for purchase. There are also less expensive options to purchase a parking permit in overflow “F” lots at pay and display stations. If a permit is lost/stolen, a Google Form needs to be submitted, and a $20 permit replacement fee is required.
Upcoming Holiday Closures
1/20/25: Our department will be closed in observance of Martin Luther King, Jr. Day.
ACE Modified Schedule

Weekend Parking Policy
SCU parking permits are not required in any B, E, F, or visitor parking spaces on Saturdays and Sundays.
Bird Solar Project
The current Bird Solar construction project in the North Campus Garage is anticipated to be completed by the end of January 2025.
Leavey Lot Utilized for Basketball Game Days
On basketball game days, the Leavey Lot will be used for VIP parking. Please utilize the overflow “F” lots for parking during these times with the closest being the Guadalupe parking lot. Thank you for your cooperation in supporting game day operations.
Please use our Event Planning Form when hosting/organizing an on-campus event.
