ACE Transit Policies
Reminder: Customers may purchase ONE ACE transit ticket per month. ACE transit passes are available for purchase on the 16th of every month for the following month at SCU’s 50% discounted rate. If you need to purchase an additional pass during this timeframe, please purchase through ACE.
Event Train Service - ACE Rail
Only event train tickets will be honored for travel on event trains, as fares differ from all other tickets.
Carpool Updates
To streamline the carpool process, carpool members will only need to show their alternative transit card to provide proof of participating in the carpool program. We are no longer using the carpool decal nor the Access Card stickers.
Alternative Transit Card
An alternative transit card is provided (once per month) for the following modes of transportation: carpooling, bicycling, or taking the train (monthly pass only). Customers may receive a maximum of five daily parking permits, per month, for using an alternative mode of transportation to get to campus. One card is issued per person.
Bike Information
There are a total of 16 skateboard and 603 bike racks around campus to reduce bicycle and skateboard theft. In an effort to safeguard bicycles, scooters, skateboards and vehicles parked on campus, our P&TS department recommends the following:
- Register your bicycle in SCU’s Bike Registry
- Register your bicycle with the National Bike Registry
- Ensure to lock up your skateboard when utilizing skateboard racks across campus
- Secure your bicycle/scooter with a lock at bicycle racks
- U-locks are available for purchase in our P&TS office at a subsidized rate
- Utilize bicycle lockers outside of Loyola Hall and SCDI
- Park vehicles in view of security cameras if possible
- Report any damages to vehicles or thefts to Campus Safety Services as soon as possible
ZipCar Rentals
SCU has a partnership with Zipcar to expand transportation opportunities for students, faculty, staff, and community members. Most vehicles are available for use 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
ZipCar rentals are located outside of the Cowell parking lot. ZipCars are also located on the first-floor ramp of the North Campus Garage.
