Do you have a favorite class that you are taking? Why?
Yes, my favorite class is Managing Fashion and Luxury Companies because it provides a deep dive into various sectors of the luxury industry, such as the jewelry business model and the Italian fashion industry. The course includes real-world experiences, like visiting luxury boutiques and analyzing their operations. For example, we visited the Dolce & Gabbana boutique and store, then discussed their overall business model in class, which made the learning practical and engaging.
What do you like about your program/university?
I like how the program ensures we're well-prepared from the start, providing metro cards and guiding us on the best routes from our housing to the IES Center. Throughout the semester, they keep us connected by sending weekly newsletters about fun events and pop-ups happening around the city, helping us make the most of our time here.
What has been your favorite place that you visited so far or favorite part about your city? Why?
My favorite place I’ve visited is Venice because of its uniqueness. The canals, historic sites, and vibrant culture create an unforgettable experience.
What advice would you give to the 2024 abroad students?
Embrace every opportunity to explore and immerse yourself in the local culture. Be open to new experiences, step out of your comfort zone, and make connections with both locals and fellow students. It’s a chance to learn and grow in ways that extend beyond the classroom.
