Accounting Student Spotlight

Keith Dinh Presentation

Keith Dinh ’25 (Accounting) presented his paper, "Accountable Virtue: Reimagining Ethics in Accounting Education," at the 34th Annual Association for Practical and Professional Ethics (APPE) International Conference in Norfolk, Virginia, in February. His paper examines the limitations of rule-based ethical frameworks in accounting education and advocates for integrating virtue ethics—particularly the cardinal virtue of Prudence—to cultivate ethical resilience and moral leadership among future accountants.

His research highlights broader implications for professional practice and higher education by reimagining ethics education through a virtue-based lens, emphasizing the need to develop morally responsible professionals across disciplines. Keith extends his gratitude to Accounting Professors Stacey Ritter and Susan Parker for their invaluable guidance on the accounting aspects of his research.
