The Retail Studies Student Association (RSSA) is a broader part of the SCU Retail Management Institute, a community for students with a passion for the retail industry and striving to become the next generation of thought leaders. The Retail Studies minor offers coursework in customer-centric retailing, data-driven sales promotion, supply chain management, and category management to give a wholistic understanding of the current retail environment. RSSA aims to prepare students for careers in retail by providing relevant courses and hosting hands-on events with our wide network of industry connections.

I joined the Retail Studies Student Association in the fall of my freshman year after seeing the impact it had on its members. From a young age, I’ve had a profound passion for the retail industry because of its dynamic, creative, technologically driven, and innovative nature. RSSA has afforded me relationships and experiences that have solidified my desire to work in the industry, and I look forward to giving back to the program.

What I find most enjoyable about leading the Retail Studies Student Association is working with the entire Agency R team to execute our collective vision for RMI, which has formed relationships that will last far beyond our four years at Santa Clara. Additionally, our Executive Director, Program Director, Advisory Board, alumni, and Santa Clara University students have given so much to RMI and are the reason we do what we do.
