SANTA CLARA, Calif. (March 30, 2021)

In a demonstration of continued excellence and growth, Santa Clara University’s Leavey School of Business has been recognized as a leader in graduate business education in the newest rankings from the U.S. News & World Report. Jumping five spots from last year, SCU’s evening MBA program ranked No. 20 in the nation, making this the third straight year of a top 25 placement for the program. Out of the 273 schools included on the 2022 list of Best Part-Time Programs, SCU placed in the top 7%. The newest ranking now makes SCU’s evening MBA the No. 2 program in Bay Area, the No. 4 program in California, and the No. 10 program from a private university.

The school’s executive MBA program earned a No. 13 spot in this year’s rankings from U.S. News, making this the third consecutive year in the top 15. The program, designed specifically for seasoned executives with 10 or more years of managerial experience, is now the No. 3 program in California.

Rounding out this year’s rankings, several of the program’s concentrations also received high marks. The business analytics concentration made its first appearance on the list, earning a No. 15 spot, while the finance concentration captured the No. 26 spot, and the entrepreneurship concentration came in at No. 30.

“It is an honor not only to see the hard work of our students, faculty, and staff recognized in this way but to know that our peers in graduate business education recognize the rigor and caliber of a Santa Clara education,” said Interim Dean Naren Agrawal. “As we celebrate these new rankings, we also look ahead to continued improvement as we work to provide our students with a top-notch curriculum that allows them to take advantage of every resource Silicon Valley has to offer and sets them up for success in leadership.”

“With an average of 624, this year’s class boasted one of our highest-ever average GMAT scores while maintaining strong GRE, GPA and work experience averages,” said Senior Assistant Dean of Graduate Business Programs Toby McChesney. “This, when combined with an increase in our peer assessment from other deans is indicative of the factors that set the Santa Clara community apart and enable us to continue this growth.”
