What do leaders do when they are performing at their best? It's an interesting question. And here's a more compelling one: Do the practices that made a leader exemplary in the (pre-Internet, pre-globalization) 1980s produce the same effect here in 2017? The answer is a resounding yes.
Additionally, he was quoted in an article published by the Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM) about why leaders fail.
“The Achilles’ heel of all leaders is believing that they will never fail, believing that they did it by themselves, that they’re better than all the little people in the organization,” Posner tells SHRM.
