Cai, Ye
Ye Cai is associate professor of finance in the Leavey School of Business at Santa Clara University, where she has been a faculty member since 2010. She currently teaches a core course “Finance Management” in the undergraduate program and an elective course “Time Series Forecasting” in the graduate program. She is the recipient of the ACE Outstanding Faculty Award.
Professor Cai has expertise in empirical corporate finance with a focus on mergers and acquisitions, board networks, entrepreneurship and venture capital, and corporate social responsibility. Her work has been published in top tier academic journals such as the Journal of Financial Economics, Journal of Accounting and Economics, Review of Accounting Studies, and Journal of Corporate Finance.
She received her B.A. in Economics from Peking University, and her M.A. in Economics from Vanderbilt University. She earned her Ph.D. in Finance from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
