Sara is passionate about turning ideas into impactful, profitable businesses that serve the planet, people, and pets. She is the Co-founder and Chief Product Officer at Petszel, supporting new pet parents post-adoption from shelters and rescues. With over two decades of experience in market research, finance, operations, and product development, Sara has held roles in startups and large public companies. She has worked in product at Cisco and Seagate and in market research at West Marine. Sara also launched Boatbound (Airbnb for boats) and has consulted for climate-focused startups like Buoy, Cruz Foam, and Hipcamp. As a mentor and judge for the Cleantech Open, she continues to champion sustainability while fostering animals for local shelters. Her leadership roles have included VP/GM of Practice Software at Covetrus, VP of Product & Strategy at PetDesk, and Head of Product & Strategy at CrossFit, Inc. Sara holds an MBA (2010) from Santa Clara University.
