Danny was born in Belfast, Ireland and attended college in Cardiff, Wales where he graduated with an accounting degree. Upon graduation in 1983, he joined the Cardiff office of Coopers & Lybrand (“C&L”) in the audit department. While at C&L he had two international secondments to their offices in Auckland, New Zealand and San Jose, California. He became an audit partner with C&L in San Jose in 1997. One year later, C&L merged with Price Waterhouse to become PricewaterhouseCoopers or PwC where he remained as a partner until he retired in 2022. During his time in Silicon Valley he worked with hundreds of venture-backed startup companies, many of which went on to become public companies. Being able to contribute to the growth and development of his clients and colleagues at PwC motivated him to teach at Santa Clara University.
