Ronald “Ron” Cook was an all-around athlete when he arrived at Santa Clara. At SCU, Cook excelled at football for all four years, and also played baseball for three seasons. On the football field, Cook was a 6’0, 200 pound ruthless center who would not let anything get by him. This stood on the baseball field too as he played catcher for the Broncos. Cook in the 1960-1961 season was voted most valuable lineman for the Broncos.
