John Casanova was a talented halfback for Santa Clara in the 1930’s. Casanova was a shifty back standing at 5’10” and 185 pounds who could craftily run past many defenders. Casanova also possessed a cannon of an arm that was displayed many times and helped put Santa Clara football on the map.
