In 1938, Ayln Beals, a star athlete from San Francisco, accepted an offer to be a part of the Top 20 Bronco Football program. During his time as a Bronco receiver, he scored 46 career touchdowns. After graduation, he served in WWII as a Field Artillery Battery Commander. WWII proved to be no obstacle for Beals love of the game as Beal and other fellow Army men organized an All Occupation Football Game while on duty. Upon his return home, he was drafted by the San Francisco 49ers, where he played six seasons, tallying 49 touchdowns on 211 receptions and 2,951 receiving yards. Beals led the NFL (then AAFC) in touchdowns from 1946 to 1949.
