After a nationwide search, the San Mateo County Community College District has selected Manuel Perez ’04 as the new president of the College of San Mateo. As the college’s first queer-identifying and Latino president, Manuel aims to foster a welcoming and supportive environment where every student can thrive.

November marks SCU’s 3rd Annual Gratitude Month, so take a moment to contemplate the good in your life! The festivities include a talk on Truly Human Leadership with Barry-Wehmiller CEO Bob Chapman and a fireside chat with President Julie Sullivan on Monday, Nov. 18. Livestreaming tickets are available if you’re unable to attend in person.
In Memoriam
We mourn the loss of Don Polden, professor emeritus and former dean of the Santa Clara University School of Law. As dean of Santa Clara Law, Don helped launch the Low Income Taxpayer Clinic, the International Human Rights Clinic, and the Entrepreneurs’ Law Clinic. We are grateful to Don for his years of service to the Santa Clara University community.
