• A Great Honor: San Diego Bishop Robert McElroy ’85, a graduate of Santa Clara’s Jesuit School of Theology, has been appointed cardinal by Pope Francis. Learn more about his history of service to the Church and the news that both “stunned and deeply surprised” him.
