3-Point Thursday
- Being Social: Fewer students are choosing to major in the social sciences, but plenty still find value in the courses. Artist Ruben Villa ’10 credits his sociology major for a 10-year career in big tech and making him a “connoisseur of writing the perfect email.” Find out how a “sociological imagination” can help lead to greater understanding of our society.
- Looking Through “Googly” Eyes: After leading for others as the founder of the Bronco Academy of Mentorship, Matthew Mayo ’24 is taking his skills to Google’s People Operations team. He credits his success to a host of alumni, including Janine Bautista ’20, Isabella Draskovic ’21, Hooria Jazaieri M.A. ’10, and Brenda Versteeg ’97, MBA ’07. The Bronco network at its finest!
- The Dimes They Are A-Changin‘: Ruben and Matthew are part of our wide and successful Bronco network. According to Forbes, SCU grads are just as likely as Ivy Leaguers to be earning top dollar. Santa Clara even made it onto Payscale’s Top 10 list for mid-career earning averages.
Go Broncos!
P.S. ICYMI in this week’s Bronco Connect, MissedFits founder Julia Benner ’10 gave 3PT a shoutout for introducing her to the Bronco Ventures Accelerator. Now it’s your turn to let your inner entrepreneur shine! Apply for BVA’s 2024 cohort today »
