- In Search of a Cure: During this year's commencement, Allen Rush M.S. ’89, Ph.D. ’23 marked the end of a 14-year academic voyage dedicated to his late daughter Jacqueline, who sadly passed away from cancer just a year after her college graduation. Rush pursued an electrical and computer engineering doctorate, specializing in artificial intelligence for early cancer detection.

- That Aloha Spirit: The governor of Hawai‘i has just appointed Christine Sakuda ’91 as the state’s new chief information officer. She’s not only the first female CIO, but also the first of Native Hawaiian descent. Sakuda will take the reins at the Office of Enterprise Technology Services next month.
