Linda Olmos
Assistant Director of Admission (Diversity, Inclusion, and Outreach)

Linda was born in Redwood City, California, and raised in the Bay Area in a bicultural and bilingual household that celebrates her Bolivian and Italian heritage. As a transfer student, Linda earned her bachelor’s degree from the University of California, Berkeley, where she focused her studies on OCD in Latinx populations through an interdisciplinary major.  She later completed her Master’s in Counseling with a specialization in Latinx populations at Santa Clara University.

Linda is a dedicated ally to the immigrant community and is passionate about empowering underrepresented students with the tools, hope, and guidance needed to succeed in higher education. A mental health advocate, Linda also hosts Listening2Linda, a podcast centered on neurodivergence, resilience, and motivation.

Linda nació en la ciudad de Redwood City, California, creció en el área de la bahía en un hogar bicultural y bilingüe que celebra su herencia boliviana e italiana. Como estudiante transferida, Linda obtuvo su licenciatura de la Universidad de California, Berkeley, donde centró sus estudios en el TOC(Trastorno Obsesivo-Compulsivo) en poblaciones latinas a través de una
Especialización interdisciplinaria. Posteriormente completó su Maestría en Consejería con especialización en poblaciones latinas en la Universidad de Santa Clara.

Linda aboga por la comunidad inmigrante y le apasiona brindar a los estudiantes subrepresentados las herramientas, la esperanza y la orientación necesarias para tener éxito en su educación superior. Linda, tiene la convicción de la importancia de la salud mental y mantiene un podcast llamado Listening2Linda,  centrado en la neurodivergencia, la resiliencia y la motivación.

M.A. in Counseling with a specialization on Latinx individuals from Santa Clara University
 
Hobbies & Interests:

Cooking, dancing,  skin care, podcasting, checking things off of my bucket list, and listening to audiobooks with my cat, Garfield!
