The interactive salary calculator will help you assess the growth in your real wages (earning power) over the last several years. Below the calculator, track progress on AAUP Chapter efforts to improve faculty compensation on campus. Salary Calculator
|
Type in your base salary for the last seven years; the calculator will return your real salary increases from 2008–2021 in 2008 dollars (if your career at SCU began after 2008, you can download this chart and adjust the formulae in the "Real Salary" column to match your start year). The percentages at the top indicate how much your nominal salary has increased relative to your real (that is, inflation-adjusted) percentage increase. The CPI (consumer price index) data is from the Bureau of Labor Statistics and covers the San Francisco-Oakland-San Jose urban area. The spreadsheet is hosted on Microsoft OneDrive; neither the SCU AAUP chapter nor Microsoft stores the values you enter. If you're concerned about your data, you can use the download link (rectangle with arrow) in the baseline black bar and input your personal data on your own device. Many thanks to Bill Sundstrom in the Economics Department for this information. |
