Post upgrade - clearing browser cache

For supported versions of Mozilla Firefox, you can access these options through Tools -> Clear Private Data or Tools -> Options -> Privacy. Review browser Help for more information.
For Microsoft Internet Explorer 8, click F12 -> Cache -> Clear Browser Cache or click Internet Options -> General ->Settings ->View Files -> Delete .js and .css files Note: For IE8 CTRL-R will not clear .js or .css files.
For Microsoft Internet Explorer 7, use CTRL-F5 or click Tools -> Internet Options. Under the General tab - Browsing History, click Delete. Review browser Help for more information.Read More »
Commonspot 5.1 upgrade Wednesday AM
We're installing the Commonspot 5.1 service pack 1 on the cms server this morning. Authoring will be offline briefly, and there will likely be some delays in Commonspot replication during the morning hours. Updates will be posted on this blog.
Update 8:28 am: The upgrade has been installed on the cms server, and authoring has been restored. We're now beginning the upgrade process on the production servers.
Update 9:37 am: The www servers are now upgraded to CS 5.1 SP1, replication has been tested successfully and it is back on the hourly schedule.Read More »
Profile manager and new elements
The Profile Manager is now available for adding and editing Commonspot profiles, and the Element Gallery includes two new elements for displaying profiles in a page. Read More »
Blog post status options added
The blog system now includes options for setting a status for individual blog posts. The options are "published", "pending review", and "draft". Read More »
Profile Transitions in Progress
Site administrators who have used the Profile element have started reviewing proflle content prior to our transition to the new Profile system. If you haven't yet reviewed your profiles, please visit the Profile Transition page. This will list any profiles that you can author, and allow you to decide whether to keep or delete each profile.Read More »

Profile Element offline
We've removed access to the Profile Element temporarily - this element contributed to the cms server problems we experienced this week. We will be working with this element early next week, and expect to have access to it restored fairly soon, although it may be a few days. Please contact Russ or Brian if you have questions or concerns about this change.Read More »
Style menu options missing in Firefox
The text formatting options normally available in the Commonspot text editor's Style menu are missing if you're using Firefox - they do appear for IE8. A set of patches released today by Paperthin fixes this problem - we've installed those on the development server, and will schedule these to be applied on the cms server on Monday, 3/8.Read More »
Feedburner subscriptions in Commonspot
We have a new element available that presents a form allowing users to subscribe to receive email notifications when a blog or RSS feed is updated. This uses Feedburner on the back end to handle the subscriptions and sending email. Read more about this on the Web Publishing site.Read More »

Add a Facebook "share" button to any Commonspot page. You'll find this new element in the Page Tools section of the Element Gallery.Read More »
