Leon Panetta '60, J.D. '63, is director of the Central Intelligence Agency.
An eight-term congressman and the former Chief of Staff to President Clinton, Panetta has close ties with the University, serving on SCU’s Board of Trustees from 1988-2009. He and his wife, Sylvia, also founded the Panetta Institute in 1998.
The Institute serves as a nonpartisan center for the study of public policy aimed at helping our communities and our country meet the challenges of the 21st century.
