Zotero - Organize Your Research with Zotero

Zotero is a free FireFox plug-in that helps you collect and organize your research materials, then cite those materials in your written communications. If you are a beginner, this is the class for you (an advanced class will be offered later.) If you need more information, please contact Helene Lafrance at hlafrance@scu.edu

During this hands-on workshop, you will learn to:
  • Download Zotero
  • Modify Zotero settings
  • Import bibliographic styles
  • Use Zotero with the library databases and web resources
  • Create a database of your research and produce formatted bibliographies in the style of your choice
  • Insert footnotes in your Microsoft Word document
Prerequisites:

None! Please Note: Since the program is browser-based, it works well with all operating systems (e.g. Windows, Mac etc.) We strongly encourage you to bring your own laptop, although computers will be provided for those who need them in this hands on class. If you do bring your own laptop, please make sure your computer is able to connect to SCU's wireless network and that you have the latest version of FireFox installed.
