Word 2010 - The Essentials

This class is specially designed for those writing papers, dissertations, books, long documents, or users looking to expand their knowledge base. Learn how to create a title page for your document, use page and section breaks effectively, use and customize styles, create a table of contents, and more. Though course work is focused on the Office 2010 PC platform MAC users are encourage to attend.

  • Customizing the Ribbon

  • Insert graphics and tables
  • Document layout: insert pages, breaks, headers, footers, and page numbers; change margins and orientation.
  • Working with images in Word
  • Backstage View: Use this new feature to print, set global changes, set saving preferences, and more.
Prerequisites:

Familiarity with Office 2010 suite preferred. Perform basic actions with the keyboard and mouse.
