    Since Rose Madden became the Forge Organic Garden Manager in November 2012, over 150 events occurred at the Forge--including volunteer workdays, courses using the garden as a living laboratory, department gatherings, and gardening workshops. Get to know Rose Madden, SCU's organic garden manager.

    The Labor Action Committee (LAC), an empowerment group within the Santa Clara Community Action Program (SCCAP), advocates that workers receive their civil rights, are free of discrimination, and are able to organize. LAC’s latest campaign sheds national attention on the garment industry workplace.

    Tips to reduce, reuse, recycle, and respect, related to being more conscientious about clothes and fashion:
    REDUCE: Buy less. Swap/trade more.
    REUSE: Give clothes a second-life or give to someone else.
    RECYCLE: A good excuse to be crafty...with Pinterest.
    RESPECT: Think about the global journey of your clothes.
