"How to Go Green Without Going Broke" Forum

Family Day - de Saisset Museum

Each time the museum hosts Family Day, they develop a hands-on art project that reflects the themes of our exhibitions. This quarter, they are hosting Fletcher Benton: The Artist's Studio, a sculpture exhibition of internationally known, SF-based artist Fletcher Benton and Reduce, Reuse, Re-Imagine, a group show that highlights the myriad ways artists re-purpose cast off materials in their work.

Want to contribute to the creation of small-scale sculptures? If you have stiff cardboard items such as paper towel rolls, toilet paper rolls, packaging boxes in good condition, etc., you can drop off the materials at the museum or call the main office (408.554.4528) to arrange a pick-up.

"A Fierce Green Fire: The Battle for a Living Planet" is a new documentary on environmental activism by award-winning filmmaker Mark Kitchell (Berkeley in the Sixties). An audience Q&A will follow the film. Light refreshments provided. Film is free, and donations are kindly accepted.
