Get Settled

Welcome to Santa Clara University. To help you get started with your orientation and to get you settled in, we recommend you follow this checklist of resources.

Check-In

At your earliest convenience and as required by U.S. immigration laws, you must physically make an in-person appearance at the International Student Services (ISS) office located in Varsi Hall, first floor, so that they can verify your safe arrival. This is very important not only to meet your immigration requirements, but also because the ISS office will send us an email verifying your safe arrival so that we can then let our partner exchange universities know you have safely arrived.

International Student Orientation

All international students are required to participate in the International Student Orientation Program offered by the ISS.  This orientation program will introduce you to life at Santa Clara, your immigration responsibilities, resources available at the ISS, and other important information.

Access Card

First thing on Monday morning, please proceed to the Access Card office located on the ground floor of the Benson Center to get your student identification card known as the Access Card. This card with your photo on it will enable you to enter buildings on campus including classrooms, library, computer labs, and other secured locations. You can even add money to it and it becomes your cash-less way to buy food at approved restaurants in the neighborhood. >> Go

Study Abroad Office

Please come by the Study Abroad Office at your earliest convenience to check in. We can let your advisors at home know that you have arrived safely. >> Go
