Eligibility Requirements

Casa de la Solidaridad draws mainly from students attending Jesuit colleges and universities, but is open to all undergraduates. Admitted students generally possess the following:

• Language Proficiency: Minimum of intermediate level (2 years of college-level Spanish) of Spanish proficiency for the semester-long program (no prior Spanish language requirement for the Summer Program)
• Maturity: Junior or senior status during the time you will be studying at the Casa
• Good Academic Standing: Minimum of 2.75 GPA (with exceptions approved by academic advisor)
• Openness: Openness to Ignatian Spirituality and community-based living
• Sensitivity: Ability to be sensitive to and embrace cultural diversity
• Simplicity: Willingness to live simply in the context of a developing country
