The CAPS Administrative Assistant is the regional testing supervisor for many national standardized testing services such as the Educational Testing Service (ETS) and American College Testing (ACT).
The Graduate Record Examination is required for admission to most national graduate schools and includes a general and a subject exam of approximately 3.5 hours each. This paper-based testing is offered at Santa Clara University 2-3 times per year. Stop by CAPS for an application. The Graduate Management Admissions Test is required for admission to most of the nation's graduate business programs. This exam consists of 7 sections and requires approximately 5 hours. It is no longer offered at Santa Clara University but is now administered frequently in a computerized format in many Bay Area locations. You may stop by CAPS for an application or call GMAT for an application by mail. The number is (800) GMAT-NOW. For additional information visit the GMAT website.
The MSAT(PRAXIS SERIES)
The Multiple Subject Assessment for Teachers exam is required for admission to some of the nation's graduate education programs or to renew licensure in teaching. The MSAT consists of many sections including Content Knowledge and Content Exercises exams and requires approximately 6 hours. It is offered at Santa Clara University 2-3 times per year. Stop by CAPS for an application or call ETS for an application by mail. The number is 1-800-772-9476 (510-654-1200 in Northern California) or visit the PRAXIS Website. Other parts of the PRAXIS series such as the NTE and the PPST are occasionally offered. Contact ETS for information about these other tests.
