As recent as 4/30/2009, several people have been contacted by a potential renters requesting to rent or sublease an apartment or house from Santa Clara University students. These renters are usually from Europe. They claim to have sent a check in the mail for over the amount of the rent or deposit. They may offer to direct deposit into your account or send travelers checks or a second party check. The renter will request their deposit or rent be returned, but their check will be fraudulent. THIS IS A SCAM - DO NOT SEND BACK ANY FORM OF PAYMENT/MONEY. |

Process:The following pages will allow you to complete a step by step process that will create a posting for your property listing. Please complete all fields and pages, as this will ensure that your listing is properly posted. Additionally, you may provide a website which provides more information on your listings. Any sites, information, or pictures deemed inappropriate by this office will be removed before the listing is posted. Approval:Your posting will be reviewed by the Office of Student Life to ensure that the postings comply with all applicable laws as well as the SCU Student Handbook. Once this process is complete, the posting will appear as part of the listings. Please notify our office when your listing is filled. Failure to notify our office will result in the posting being removed one (1) month following the last date of listing. |
