Michelle (Massaro) Tabler ’79 is the Alaska Regional Manager for the Better Business Bureau serving Alaska, Oregon & Western Washington. Michelle retired in 2010 from a career in insurance.

Michael Dee ’79 writes that he is president of the Retail Division of Henry S Miller Company. The company is the oldest private real estate firm in Texas and is celebrating 100 years in business in 2014. Michael lives in Dallas with his wife, Julie, and their three daughters.

Leslie Burton J.D. ’79 writes, "I am a Professor and the Director of Graduate Law Programs at Golden Gate University School of Law, where I have worked for 20 years. I have been married for 27 years to Jeff Wurms, a reformed lawyer who is now working on his teaching credential to teach high school. Our daughter Chelsea graduated last year from Mount Holyoke College. I live in Oakland and I am a huge Oakland booster. I love to travel and do it whenever I can. I have taught in Prague, Germany, and Istanbul."

Bluth, Anne (Nickel)

Freshman Dorm: Graham 100

Rich Bluth ’79 and Anne Nickel Bluth ’79 celebrated 34 years of marriage in June 2014 and are enjoying their newly "emptied nest" in Seal Beach, Calif. where they have lived since their Santa Clara Mission wedding. They have been blessed to have all four of their children graduate from Catholic universities. Their youngest son, Mark Bluth ’14 graduated this June from Santa Clara in Philosophy and Economics . Mark's twin brother Tom Bluth graduated from University of Portland just a month earlier in May 2014. Their daughter, Maria (LMU 2011) relocated to San Francisco in June, where she works at De Marillac Academy. Also this May, their oldest son, Danny Bluth (College of the Holy Cross, 2009, St Joseph's University 2012) married Kelly Casey (College of the Holy Cross, 2009) in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania where they both live and work. Rich has worked for the Irvine Company for the past 7 years, and is currently Vice President, Energy Management. Anne spends her time in support of her family near and far, (mostly far now).

Barrett-Anderson, Elizabeth

Elizabeth Barrett-Anderson J.D. ’79, a retired Superior Court of Guam Judge, is in the race for attorney general. She served the government of Guam for 33 years. She is credited with the creation of the Driving While Influenced (DWI) Court and the rules of procedure and practice in the field of domestic violence. Barrett-Anderson has been recognized nationally for this work in the past, serving on the Board of Directors of the National Association of Drug Court Professionals and the Federal Advisory Council on Juvenile Justice. She is a strong advocate for judicial and legal education, victims rights, consumer protection, and child support enforcement.

Barnes, Andrew

Andrew Barnes MBA ’79 retired in October 2013. He spent a long career in the computer industry, holding various sales/marketing and management positions.

 
After earning a BS Business Administration at UNLV, he worked in Las Vegas for five years selling commercial computer systems. He then relocated to the San Francisco Bay Area, where he earned an MBA at Santa Clara University and was employed in Silicon Valley for the rest of his career. He worked at Sun Microsystems, Mentor Graphics and other companies, including start-ups. While at Sun he led a team that developed and rolled out a global program for major software partners. His travels took him throughout North America, Europe and Asia. He earned a number of sales awards and other recognitions, including being named a Sun Key Employee two times.
 
Barnes lives in Mountain View with his wife, Jenny. He is looking forward to more couple/grandkids time and taking up golf again (for the third time).  He gave himself a Porsche as a retirement present and has joined Porsche Club of America.
