Katie Kurtz '11 is currently serving in Yakima, Wash., at Yakima Neighborhood Health as an outreach worker through the Jesuit Volunteer Corps Northwest.
Paul Kosloski '11 recently finished a year of service in Anchorage, Alaska, with the Jesuit Volunteer Corps Northwest. He served at Bean's Café Day Shelter and then Karluk Manor Housing First. Both service placements involved support and companionship for people experiencing chronic alcoholism and chronic homelessness.

Trinity Klein M.A. '12, a Palo Alto High School English teacher, has been chosen as a new assistant principal for Gunn High School in the the Palo Alto Unified School District. Klein will replace Wesley Cedros, who left his position at Gunn to accept an administrative position in the Tamalpais Union High School District. Klein has taught at Palo Alto High School for 14 years. She began her career as an English teacher and served as the instructional supervisor of Paly's English department for six years. Last year she served in a leadership role as a teacher on special assignment, according to a district announcement. She attended the University of Massachusetts and holds a bachelor's degree in comparative literature. She holds a single-subject teaching credential from San Francisco State University and master's in education and has a pending administrative-services credential from Santa Clara University.
Kevin Klasila '11, a goalkeeper, was signed by the Charleston Battery for the upcoming United Soccer Leagues pro season.
Erin Gay '04, MA '11 married Eric Hulderson on June 4, 2011. The wedding was held at Radonich Ranch in Los Gatos, CA. Rev. Aimee Moiso, Santa Clara Director of Ecumenical and Interfaith Ministries, presided over the ceremony. Other broncos in attendance included Katie Delor Childers, Torri Granger, Katie Gottlieb, Veronia Murphy, Ellen Peterson, Courtney Peterson Nilsson, Paul Nilsson, Scott Peterson, Jessica Gagnon, Anne Volz, Chris Madruga, Annie Colbeck, Victoria Reyes and Mike Theoharis.

Robert "Bert" Girdner ’11 and Cicily Crechriou, who graduated from Southern Oregon University in 2011, were united in marriage on July 13, 2013 in Gazelle, Calif.
Christopher Freeburg '11 is currently serving with the Jesuit Volunteer Corps Northwest in Ashland, Mont., at the St. Labre Catholic Indian School. Ashland is a small town of 500 people in the SE corner of the state. 95 percent of the students who attend St. Labre are from the nearby Northern Cheyenne and Crow reservations and 78 of those students live in the dorms. Freeburg's workday starts after school with study hall. He writes: "I spend most of my time acting as a mentor and positive influence on these kids' lives, many of whom come from broken homes where they may experience verbal or physical abuse and witness substance and alcohol use on a regular basis. The rest of my time is spent immersed in the community, attending school functions, and learning about the history and culture (including attending sweats and pow-wows) of the local Native peoples."
Michael K. Foy ’11 has joined the law firm of Klein, DeNatale, Goldner, Cooper, Rosenlieb & Kimball LLP as associate attorney. Foy earned a political science degree at Loyola Marymount University in 2008 then went on to earn his law degree at Santa Clara University School of Law in 2011. He works in the firm’s business and commercial litigation department.

Jackie (Goodall) Ellwood ’11, former marketing and musical theatre student, leader of Supertonic!, Pit Band member and jazz enthusiast, married her high school sweetheart, Ryan Ellwood, in February 2012.
Julie Connelly ’11 serves with the Jesuit Volunteer Corps. She works at The Harry Tompson Center, which provide day to day needs for the homelessness population such as: showers, phones, lunches, toiletries, laundry machines, and—most importantly—human interaction in New Orleans, Louisiana.
Rev. Seong-uk Choi STD ’11 writes: “I am teaching a Special Ethics course including sexual ethics and professional ethics at the Catholic University of Pusan Theological College. I am so happy to share my experiences at JST with Korean seminarians.”
Antonio Castro '11 serves with the Jesuit Volunteer Corps at Tucson Community Food Bank in Tucson, Arizona.
Emily Burke ’11 is in her first year as the volunteer coach with the Bronco volleyball team, working primarily on camp and office work. She also works with practice planning. In the past year Emily coached at Archbishop Mitty High School as the JV head coach as well as coached club for Vision Volleyball club. She has worked at the Santa Clara summer camps for the past four years.

Jennifer (Cooke) Bauer ’01, MBA ’11 married Jeffrey Bauer MBA ’11 on Saturday, July 27, 2013, in Burlingame, Calif. Cindy (Barrango) Rodondi ’01 served as a bridesmaid. Many SCU undergraduates and MBA graduates were in attendance from the classes of ’01 and ’11 respectively. The happy couple lives in San Jose, Calif.
