Our latest issue published in Summer 2007 contains articles and transcripts from the International Law Weekend-West Conference, hosted at Santa Clara University School of Law on February 2 and 3, 2007.

I. Introduction

Thank you for your interest in the SANTA CLARA JOURNAL OF INTERNATIONAL LAW. SCJIL is the newest law journal at Santa Clara University School of Law. We are dedicated to publishing scholarly articles pertaining to international issues, both private and public. As an online journal, we have the freedom to be creative in our format and publish articles on current hot topics.

Participation in the SCJIL is a two-year process. The first stage is the Candidacy year. As a Candidate, a student must: 1) write a passing a casenote or note, 2) complete 55 production hours, 3) write a passing a comment, and 4) satisfy the GPA requirement.

The second stage of participation is as a Board member. A student who successfully completes the Candidacy year is qualified to apply for Board membership.
