			<title>Unplanned OSCAR Downtime, 6 a.m., Tuesday, December 6</title>

                <description>&lt;p&gt;There will be a brief, unplanned downtime for the OSCAR server around 6 a.m. on Tuesday, December 6.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;The server will be completely unavailable for 5-15 minutes.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;During that time, all of the follwing services will be unavailable:&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;ul&gt;
    &lt;li&gt;OSCAR searching&lt;/li&gt;
    &lt;li&gt;My Library Account&lt;/li&gt;
    &lt;li&gt;Access to Library databases&lt;/li&gt;
    &lt;li&gt;Interlibrary Loan&lt;/li&gt;
    &lt;li&gt;LINK+&#xa0;requesting&lt;/li&gt;
    &lt;li&gt;ARS requesting&lt;/li&gt;
&lt;/ul&gt;
&lt;p&gt;Information Technology will post any updates to the &lt;a href=&quot;http://it.scu.edu/cgi-bin/GetIssues.cgi&quot;&gt;Technology Status Page&lt;/a&gt;.&lt;/p&gt;

			<title>ARS Crane #1 Currently Out of Service. </title>

                <description>&lt;p&gt;Crane #1 in the ARS is currently out of service due to a mechanical fault. Local staff and vendor support are working to resolve the issue and expect to have service restored by COB Saturday.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;Requests for ARS items that are in aisle 2 or 3 will not be impacted.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;Please see the Circulation Desk staff for the status of your requests.&lt;/p&gt;</description>

			<title>OSCAR, ERes, &amp; ARS Downtime for Storage Upgrades: Fri 9 p.m. - Sat 2 a.m.</title>

                <description>&lt;p&gt;From 9 p.m. Friday, April 8 through 2 a.m. Saturday, April 9,&#xa0; there will be a night of downtime for OSCAR, ERes, and the ARS servers. IT will be updating the drivers on the storage area network (SAN) to which these servers are attached.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;During the outage time the following services will not be available:&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;ul&gt;
    &lt;li&gt;ERes&lt;/li&gt;
    &lt;li&gt;ARS requesting&lt;/li&gt;
    &lt;li&gt;OSCAR simple search&lt;/li&gt;
    &lt;li&gt;OSCAR authentication, including access to remote databases via the proxy server&lt;/li&gt;
&lt;/ul&gt;
