At Stanford
Results: On Saturday, Jenna Torosian placed 7th in intermediate jumping, 2nd in intermediate flat; Jennifer Cruden placed 2nd in beginner walk/trot/canter; Laura Skinner placed 1st in advanced walk/trot/canter; Rachael Munsen placed 4th in novice jumping, 6th in novice flat; Caitlin Cutting placed 3rd in walk/trot. On Sunday, Jenna Torosian placed 1st in intermediate jumping, 1st in intermediate flat, named champion high-point rider; Jennifer Cruden placed 3rd in beginning walk/trot/canter; Laura Skinner placed 6th in advanced walk/trot/canter; Caitlin Cutting placed 2nd in walk/trot, Rachel Munsen placed 3rd in novice jumping, 2nd in novice flat; Katie Daw placed 4th in novice flat.
Notes: This was the first show SCU has co-hosted (with Stanford). The team won reserve high-point team even without entering riders in all of the divisions. It was the first show for three SCU riders (Cutting, Munsen, and Daw).

At Cal Poly
Results: Jenna Torosian was 1st in English intermediate flat, 3rd in English intermediate jumping. Laura Skinner was 5th in 2b English flat. Jennifer Cruden was 3rd in 2a English flat, 4th in 12a Western flat.
Notes: With strong placing, both Torosian and Skinner will look to qualify for nationals. -

Results: Defeated UC Davis 5-3.
Notes: SCU is now 2-2-0 overall (2-0-0 in ACHA Division III, 2-0-0 in PCHA, and 1-0-0 in PCHA North Division). Tom Sullivan, Alex Nelson, and Justin Perna were outstanding performers for the game.

Results: L 8-10 to Stanford
Notes: SCU is now 0-0 in conference play and 0-1-0 overall. SCU is a Division III team and Stanford is Division II. Ian Gonnella had 3 assists, Steve Barbieri had a goal and an assist, Gary Nissen had 2 goals and an assist, and goalie Chris McNamara had 52 saves. -
Men's UltimateNovember 10th-11th, 2007
At Sean Ryan Memorial Tournament
Results: Lost to UCSC (7-15), UCSD (10-15), Chico State (11-13), and UCLA (8-13). Defeated UC Davis (13-8) and UN Reno (8-1).
Notes: Freshman Kyle Casey’s defensive effort was outstanding, leading the team in layout D’s, including 3 in one point. Sophomore Ryan Chun played strong man defense all weekend. Senior Jay Searles made an amazing play with a layout left-handed grab in the back of the end zone.

At Bellomy Field
Results: SCU entered two teams into the first ever home tournament hosted by the club. SCU “X” was 3-3 in competition with wins against Cal, Santa Cruz, SFSU, and Alameda. SCU “Y” was 3-4 in competition.

At Cal State Chico
Results: 4-3 tournament record and finished in 9th place.
Notes: Sean Andrew was team MVP as he played in every point in the team’s last game. The team beat Davis for the first time in club history. Also, 9th place is the highest finish the team has had at this tournament. -

Results: Lost 27-29, 25-21, 13-15 to UC Santa Barbara; Won 25-18, 26-24 over Holy Names; Lost 18-25, 18-25 to UCLA; Lost 17-25, 15-25 to Sonoma State
Notes: Tyler Hinz was the outstanding performer for the SCU team. -

Results: Placed 3rd of 9 teams. -

At Santa Barbara Yacht Club
Results: Varsity placed 4th in Varsity fleet and 5th overall. JV placed 7th in the JV fleet and 19th overall.
Notes: Matt Nahlik had a first place finish and a second place finish to help the Varsity team to their 5th place overall finish.
October 19th-21st, 2007
At Richmond Yacht Club
Results: Qualified for regionals on Friday afternoon when another team had to drop out of competition. In regionals, the team came in last place but only by 3 points.
Notes: Matt Nahlik skippered the boat while freshman Drue Cicchetto called tactics and did foredeck. Marianne Wallis worked the spinnaker sheets downwind.

Results: 15th and 17th out of 24.
Notes: Matt Spevak and Matt Nahlik represented SCU.

At Treasure Island Sailing Center
Results: Varsity boat placed 11 out of 22. Junior Varsity boat placed in top ten out of approximately 15 teams.
Notes: Matt Spevak skippered in the varsity “b” boat and had two second place finisheds on Sunday with his Amelia Bethke. -

Results: Defeated Stanford’s B-side 83-5
Notes: Aggressive tackling and defensive pressure helped the BRUWS force turnovers that resulted in a score of 55-5 by halftime. Megan McCaleb scored 5 tries and kicked 3 conversions. -

Results: Defeated UC Davis (9-5); Lost to Cal (13-14), UCLA, UCSD (5-9), Chico State (3-6).
Notes: The team placed 15 out of 16 in the first tournament for many of the team members.
