Notables: Freshmen rookies Patrick McDermott and Woody Amidon scored their first trys of the season.

Stanford Qualifier
Results:  Wins against Lewis & Clark, Cal B, UCLA B and Reed
Notables:  First time the club has made the winner’s bracket at a tournament.
Key Performers:  Sean Ryan caught the most points, Alex Seber threw the most points, and Dan Buglione had the most lay-out D’s.

Men's Lacrosse
Key Performer: Congratulations to Sophomore Mike Ford for being named the WCLL Goalie of the Week! Michael stopped 4 of 5 shots on goal in their win on Sunday and followed that up with stopping 8 of the 9 shots the next day.

Men's Rugby
Bellomy - SF Golden Gate
Results: Lost 15-18

Men’s Volleyball
SJSU - League Match
Results: lost 0-3. League record now 4-1

UC Davis - Tournament
Results: won 2-1 against Cal Poly, won 2-0 against UC Irvine, won 2-0 against USC, won 2-1 against SDSU, won 2-1 against SJSU, lost 0-2 against Fresno State, lost 0-2 against UC San Diego. Overall won 5-2, 11th place.

Results:  Had close matches with SCSU, USD, Chico and UCSD

Arizona Tournament
Results: Won 16-4 against ASU, won 15-4 against U of A, won 10-5 against Michigan State, won 7-6 against Colorado State
Notables: Overall tournament results 4-0 win

Results: lost 7-102
Played 13 on 15; forfeit match due to low numbers
Key Performers: Megan McCaleb, Brianna Osetinsky, Louise O’Rourke

Results: Lost 4-11
Key Performers: Attackman Scott Britain 3 goals. Goalie Phil Donnici 14 saves.

Men's Volleyball
Chico State - League (NCCVL) Match
Results: game 1 won 25-20, game 2 won 25-23, game 3 won 26-24. SCU defeats Cal State Chico in overall win 3-0. Now 4-0 in league play.

Men's Volleyball
Malley - League (NCCVL) Match
Results: game 1 won 25-18, game 2 lost 24-26, game 3 won 25-18, game 4 lost 22-25, game 5 won 20-18. SCU defeats UC Berkeley in overall win 3-2. Now 3-0 in league play.

Sailing
Cal Maritime Academy Regatta
Varsity: 8th place, Matt Spevak, Matt Nahlik, Stacy Cavanah, Kim Coates, & Amelia Bethke
JV: 11th place, Marianne Wallis, Amy McCarthy, Andrew Smith, & Ashley Merrill
Key Performer: Matt Spevak scored 30 points better than any other SCU Sailor and placed 3rd in 5 separate races.

Weekend of February 2nd-4th

Men's Lacrosse
Bellomy Field - pre-season scrimmage
Results: Won 19-6
Key Performers: Senior Scott Brittain 4 goals, Junior Liam Byrne 2 goals and 3 assists, Freshman Charlie Ellis 2 goals and 3 assists, Sophomore Mark Swoboda 3 goals, and Sophomore Sam Grant 2 goals and 4 assists.

Men's Rugby
Results: A-side won 56-0. B-side lost 18-26.
Notables: A-side won their first league game of the year against San Jose State. First half ended 44-0.
Key Performers: Junior Scott Peterson scored a try in the first five minutes. Senior John Travis scored 19 points for the day.

Men's Volleyball
Malley-League (NCCVL) Match
Results: game 1 won 25-20, game 2 won 25-13, game 3 won 25-17. SCU defeats Sacramento State in overall win 3-0.
Key Performers: Colin Niedermeyer 13 kills (0.579 kill %), Mark Almassy 7 kills and 11 digs, Scott Clark 6 kills and 4 blocks, Jason Kennedy 25 assists. 

Women's Rugby
Bellomy - scrimmage against St. Mary’s
Results: Lost 15-48
Key Performers: Brianna Osetinsky, outstanding player. Kaitlyn Bailey-Findley, outstanding player for hitting the weak side for a 40 meter run off a scum that resulted in a try.




 


 

Our Swin Club and Triathlon Club use the Malley Center Pool to practice.

Our 25 yard outdoor pool is open 6:30 a.m. - 9 p.m. Mondays - Thursdays, 6:30 a.m. - 8:30 p.m. on Fridays, 10 a.m. - 8:30 p.m. on Saturdays, and 10 a.m. - 9 p.m. on Sundays during the regular academic schedule. To learn more about our aquatics program, click here.
