Cheryl McElvain Tutoring Program

Tuesday, February 19, 2008, the families involved in the After School Tutoring Program called The Bridge met with Professor Francisco Jimenez to share their life stories. Dr. Cheryl McElvain is the program director who began this tutoring program 1 1/2 years ago along with her husband Larry who is the executive director of Discovery Counseling Center. The mission of The Bridge program is to connect disconnected, disenfranchised English learners and their parents into a vital learning community.
