Fitness and Recreation CenterSanta Clara University encourages all faculty and staff to use the Fitness and Recreation Center, Aquatic Center, and the Tennis Center to improve their personal health and well-being. Access to these facilities is free for faculty, staff, and their spouses; fitness classes are available for a nominal charge. Community GardenBronco Urban Gardens, BUG, for short, is a new partnership between Santa Clara’s Environmental Studies Institute, and the Silicon Valley HealthCorps. BUG, an environmental justice initiative, aims to increase community food security, sustainability, and environmental literacy in Santa Clara County. Americorps volunteers support the creation of urban gardens and garden education programs. BUG also oversees the Forge Garden, Santa Clara’s half acre education and community garden on the corner of Benton and Sherman streets.
