Mentoring

Many departments/chairs facilitate mentoring in their programs.  The Faculty Development Program can also match faculty with mentors outside their department to assist with teaching, scholarship, and career planning.

For more information please contact Eileen Elrod (x4136).

  • Mentors for Faculty of Color: Recognizing the specific challenges for faculty of color at SCU, the Women of Color Network has partnered with Faculty Development and WGST to identify effective mentors for faculty of color at SCU. All faculty of color (women and men) are welcome to use the Network of Faculty Mentors. More information click here.
  • In addition to these on-campus opportunities, Faculty Development has an institutional membership in The National Center for Faculty Development and Diversity -- a professional development, training, and mentoring community that offers online training workshops, leadership development programs, coaching, and institutional consulting.
