- Serve as an advocate group for Latino faculty
- Serve as a resource for and support to SCU in recruiting and retaining Latino faculty and students
- Provide support such as mentoring and networking for Latino faculty
- Organize a research colloquium by Latino faculty for LFG meetings and/or university community
- Offer opportunities for academic and social events to develop mutual support for Latino faculty
- Educate the university community regarding the role and specific needs of Latino Faculty
- Support Latino senior lecturers, academic year/three year lecturers, and faculty part time faculty
- Promote a welcoming and friendly environment for Latino students and staff
- Offer a forum for Latino students on the various roles Latino faculty play at the University
- Develop informational resources such as a newsletter, website, to highlight the research and teaching interests of Latino faculty
- Advocate for creating a national reputation for welcoming, recruiting, and retaining Latino students at SCU
- Serve as a resource to our university community for promoting and enhancing "Inclusive Excellence."
