Jonathan Homrighausen

Interfaith Ministries Intern

I am from Sunnyvale, but have moved around a few times, including a ten-month stint in eastern Washington and two years in Oakdale, California, the official 'Cowboy Capitol of the World.'  After studying philosophy at Modesto Junior College, I transferred to SCU and ended up a double-major in religious studies and classics. Outside of school, I am an avid reader, and have lately been getting into sci-fi and graphic novels.  Outside of that, I spend my free time wishing I had more free time.  I invite you to join the SCU interfaith conversation this year!

After growing up in a non-religious household, I became Catholic as an adult.  Both before and after my conversion, I have been blessed to feel at home in a variety of traditions, such as when I learned Hebrew from a rabbi and when I went on a Zen Buddhist retreat.  As interfaith intern I hope to bring people together for conversations on issues that plague and provoke us all.
