International Ambassador

Why do you want to serve as an International Ambassador at Santa Clara University?

I would like to serve as an International Ambassador because I was part of the first set of students to participate in this new quarter program in Rome.  I believe I could provide very valuable information and tips to students who will be going abroad.  Tips not only about the city of Rome, but also on how to manage just a quarter abroad.

What were the deciding factors in choosing your study abroad program and/or location?

I am Italian so I did want to go to Italy, but also, I did not want to go for a quarter and it was the best time of the year for me to go.

Describe a defining moment in your abroad experience.

There was not any one specific event which affected me, but rather the overall experience.  The overall experience taught me that there is more to life than making money, and that we are all individuals with unique talents.  It taught me me that one of the most rewarding parts of life is helping others.

What advice would you give to prospective study abroad students?

Put yourself out there a lot, and plan travel trips ahead.  We were unaware of our class schedule so we were not proactive in planning our trips, and we could have visited more places.
