"Characterization of the Nanoparticle Protein Corona in Saccharomyces Cerevisiae"

The use of nanoparticles in consumer products is becoming increasingly common. This proposal is a study of the interaction of silver nanoparticles with proteins in eukaryotic cells to determine which cellular processes may be disrupted. The results could provide data regarding environmental and health risks of nanoparticles and lead to the development of less toxic such additives for use in a variety of products.
