The University is founded on a Catholic, Jesuit philosophy of education. One crucial tenet of this philosophy is being “catholic” with a little “c” in the sense of being all-inclusive and respectful of all faiths. SCU’s Core Curriculum, extracurricular activities, Ignatian Center for Jesuit Education, and Campus Ministry program encourage looking at issues from many different perspectives.
