Search for New University Librarian

Monday, Jan. 23, 2012

The search for the University Librarian is well underway. Candidates have been scheduled for campus interviews, one of whom completed an on-site interview earlier in January and two are scheduled to interview on Wednesday, February 1, and Friday, February 3.  The search committee encourages you to attend the open sessions and provide feedback on the candidates. To learn more about the candidates, their presentation schedules, and the position profile, please visit the website, http://www.scu.edu/provost/office/committees/Search-Committees.cfm.

The search committee is chaired by Diane Jonte-Pace and includes members Emily Armstead (Undergraduate Student), Christa Bailey (University Library), Michelle Burnham (English), Christine Grimsby (Graduate Student), Mary Hood (Law Library), Michael Kevane (Economics), Helene LaFrance (University Library), and Alex Zecevic (Electrical Engineering).  I thank each of the members for their service, and with them, anticipate that a new University Librarian will be on board by July 1, 2012.
