Hello and Welcome to Fall Quarter 2014

I have a few important announcements to make and I will address them here.

1. Yes, we have limited space in our classrooms and they fill up quickly. However, we are on track and SCU is committed to help OLLI resolve the classroom space issues caused by expanded membership and class offerings.

To resolve these issues, SCU is in the process of locating additional building space and recognizes the need to suitably retrofit such space. The target for availability is Spring 2015.

2. CLASS REGISTRATION: I understand from a number of our members, that your first choice classes closed too soon. That is unfortunate, so please consider that we still have a number of classes that are open and waiting for enrollment. If you logged in at 9:00 a.m. and your class was FULL ... Please add yourself to the wait list at The OLLI office is always trying to find bigger spaces, so we encourage you to email us and put your name on the list.

3. Special Interest Groups: due to our space constraints, please schedule your SIG off campus, the Orradre Library, Santa Clara Senior Center, a county or city library or another location until we get our space allocation in Spring 2015. Loyola 160 meeting room is no longer available from 8:00 a.m. - 8:00 p.m.

Warm Regards,

Andrea Saade
