2012 NSSE SCU Results
The National Survey of Student Engagement (NSSE) is the most comprehensive assessment of effective practice in higher education and includes data from more than 300,000 randomly selected first-year and senior students at 621 four-year colleges and universities in the U.S. and Canada.
Both SCU freshmen and seniors were more likely to be satisfied with their college experience than freshmen and seniors from other NSSE institutions.
NSSE results show how much the SCU experience contributed to students’ learning and personal development.
NSSE assesses the extent to which undergraduates are involved in educational practices empirically linked to high levels of learning and development. To simplify the discussion of good learning and teaching behaviors, NSSE has developed benchmarks of effective educational practice.
